What do we know? Feature length version of an animated short that took the web by storm back in 2010 (see below). A considerable budget has been spent licensing the rights to classic arcade characters like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Frogger.
Cinderella

Who the hell is in it? Lily James, Cate Blanchett, Hayley Atwell
What do we know? Following the Maleficent template, Disney have now updated their 1950 take on Cinders. Expect Blanchett to chew plenty of scenery as the wicked stepmother.
Pan

Who the hell is in it? Hugh Jackman, Levi Miller, Rooney Mara
What do we know? Somebody decided we need an origin story for Peter Pan and Captain Hook. In yet more controversial casting, Rooney Mara plays the Native American Tiger Lily.
The Fantastic Four
Who the devil made it? Josh Trank
Who the hell is in it? Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B Jordan
What do we know? This latest superhero reboot is the third live action incarnation of the quartet, following previous attempts that proved far from fantastic. A sequel is already scheduled for 2017.
The Gambler
Who the devil made it? Rupert Wyatt
Who the hell is in it? Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Lange, John Goodman
What do we know? Wahlberg steps into James Caan's shoes in a remake of the 1974 Karel Reisz classic. Wyatt proved more than capable of helming action set-pieces in Rise of the Planet of the Apes; how he fares with character drama remains to be seen.
Point Break
Who the devil made it? Ericson Core
Who the hell is in it? Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer, Ray Winstone
What do we know? A massive groan resounded when it was announced that Kathryn Bigelow's beloved surfin' thriller was in for the reboot treatment. Unlike the California set original, this one seems to feature a globe-trotting plot.
Vacation
Who the devil made it? John Francis Daley, Jonathan M Goldstein
Who the hell is in it? Ed Helms, Beverly D'Angelo, Chevy Chase
What do we know? It may share the same title, but this seems to be a sequel/reboot of Harold Ramis' 1983 comedy, with Ed Helms as the now adult son of Clark and Ellen Griswold taking his own family on a cross country trip to Walley World.
Assassin's Creed
Who the devil made it? Justin Kurzel
Who the hell is in it? Michael Fassbender
What do we know? This adaptation of the popular gaming franchise has been shrouded in mystery with very little details released. Its release date has been put back more times than a coward's dental appointment. A 2015 release is currently tentative.
