In Flames is a Pakistani horror-thriller that explores the
struggle of women in a highly patriarchal society through a genre lens. The
film sees a mother and daughter menaced by figures from their past following
the death of their family's patriarch. It was Pakistan's submission for Best International Feature Film at the 2024
Academy Awards.
The cast features Ramesha Nawal, Omar Javaid, Bakhtawar Mazhar and
Adnan Shah Tipu.
In Flames will receive its UK premiere at the Glasgow Film
festival on March 7th.

The official synopsis reads:
After the death of the family patriarch, a mother and daughter’s precarious existence is ripped apart by figures from their past. They must find strength in each other if they are to survive the malevolent forces that threaten to engulf them.
