Inspired by Dan Barry's 2017 New York Times article of the same name, director Frank Berry and writer Rebecca Lenkiewicz's The Lost Children of Tuam dramatises the shocking discovery of the bodies of 796 children buried in unmarked graves at the Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, County Galway. Monica Dolan plays Catherine Corless, the researcher who made the disturbing discovery.
Andrew Bennett and Ian McElhinney also star.
The Lost Children of Tuam is in Irish cinemas from September 25th and UK cinemas from October 9th.

The film tells the real-life story of how, whilst researching the Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, County Galway, for a local historical society, history enthusiast Catherine Corless uncovered the devastating possibility that as many as 796 children had been buried in unmarked graves on the property. The discovery began a campaign for justice for both victims and survivors of the home that has had a lasting impact on Ireland today.
