
Directed by John Madden (Shakespeare in Love) from a script by Paul Mayhew-Archer, Onwards and Sideways stars Rhys Ifans and Laura Linney as two strangers who bond over a shared Parkinson's diagnosis. Mayhew-Archer was himself diagnosed with the disease in 2011 and has been raising awareness through his work ever since.
Monica Dolan and Rory Kinnear also star.
Onwards and Sideways is in UK cinemas from November 6th.

The official synopsis reads:
Tony (Rhys Ifans) is deputy headteacher of a primary school. Emma (Laura Linney) is a musician and composer, and a single mother of two daughters. Neither knows the other, until a startling encounter changes the course of their lives. On the same morning, they are both confronted with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease.
