To celebrate its 24th anniversary, Michael Winterbottom's 24 Hour Party People is headed back to UK/ROI cinemas in a new 4K remaster. Starring Steve Coogan in an arguably career best turn as Factory Records founder Tony Wilson, the film charts the rise of Manchester's music scene from the bleakness of the late '70s to the "Madchester" scene of the late '80s and early '90s.
The ensemble cast also features Paddy Considine, Shirley Henderson, Lennie James, John Simm, Ralf Little, Andy Serkis, Peter Kay, Sean Harris and John Thomson.
24 Hour Party People is in UK/ROI cinemas from October 9th, followed by a digital and 4K UHD release on October 26th.

The official synopsis reads:
Manchester 1976: Granada TV presenter, Tony Wilson (Steve Coogan), is at a Sex Pistols gig. Totally inspired by this pivotal moment in music history, he and his friends set up a record label, Factory Records, and proceed to sign a number of local bands destined to be some of the most influential artists of their time. First, Joy Division, who go on to become New Order; then come the Happy Mondays.
