Directed by Peter Farrelly from a script by Peter Gamble, I Play Rocky tells the story of how a then unknown Sylvester Stallone (Anthony Ippolito) wrote the screenplay for future Oscar winner Rocky and held firm to his insistence that it could only be made if he played the lead role.
The film also stars Matt Dillon, AnnaSophia Robb, P.J. Byrne, Toby Kebbell, Tracy Letts, Jay Duplass, Stephan James and Kiki Seto.
I Play Rocky is in UK/ROI cinemas from November 6th. Rocky will also be re-released in cinemas on the same date to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
