is set to send a ripple through the film industry this summer with Ice Cream Man. Unconnected with the 1995 Clint Howard vehicle of the same name (which
has its own sequel in development), Roth's film stars Ari Millen as an ice cream vendor whose unique products turn
children into homicidal maniacs.

Our Hero, Balthazar (August 11th, VOD)
Directed by Oscar Boyson
and co-written with Ricky Camilleri, Our Hero, Balthazar stars Jaeden Martell as Balthazar, a New York teen who finds his
anti-gun social media posts mocked by Texan troll Solomon (Asa Butterfield). Believing Solomon is planning a mass shooting, Balthazar heads to
Texas to confront him.
Tony (August 14th, cinemas)
Director Matt Johnson (Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie;
Blackberry) pays tribute to the late celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain with
Tony. Johnson's film sees Dominic Sessa play a young Bourdain in 1975 when
he is taken under the wing of restaurant owner Ciro (Antonio Banderas).
The End of Oak Street (August 14th, cinemas)
Writer/director David Robert Mitchell's first movie since 2018's divisive Under the Silver Lake
is sci-fi thriller The End of Oak Street. Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor
play parents who discover their entire suburban neighbourhood has been
transplanted to a mysterious land inhabited by dinosaurs.
Sunny Dancer (August 14th, cinemas)
Writer/director George Jaques follows up his road movie
Black Dog
with another coming of age drama. Sunny Dancer stars
Bella Ramsey as Ivy, a teenager with cancer who is sent off to
spend her summer at a "chemo camp." There she finds kinship in a group
of teens all going through her experience.
& Sons (August 21st, cinemas)
Based on the novel by David Gilbert,
& Sons stars Bill Nighy as a reclusive novelist
who summons his estranged ex-wife (Imelda Staunton) and sons to his home in the belief that he is on the verge of
death. There he reveals a secret that forces a family
reckoning. Pablo Trapero

Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma (August 21st, cinemas)
Writer/director Jane Schoenbrun
follows up their excellent breakout feature I Saw the TV Glow with Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma. The film stars Hannah Einbinder
as a young director tasked with reinvigorating a waning slasher franchise.
Visiting the reclusive star of the original franchise (Gillian Anderson), she finds herself drawn into a web of desire and bloodshed.
I Want Your Sex (August 28th, cinemas)
Director Gregg Araki's first feature since 2014's White Bird in a Blizzard, I Want Your Sex stars Cooper Hoffman
as Elliot, a young man who becomes the assistant to provocative artist
Erika (Olivia Wilde). Erika makes Elliott her sexual plaything, much to his delight until
things take a dark turn.
Bitter Christmas (August 28th, cinemas)
Director Pedro Almodóvar's upcoming comedic drama Bitter Christmas stars Bárbara Lennie as Elsa, an advertising director who uses her work
to distract from the grief felt by her mother's death. Forced to take a
break from work when she suffers a panic attack, Elsa travels to
Lanzarote. A separate timeline follows a filmmaker as he writes a script
based on Elsa's story.
