
Set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival is director Gastón Solnicki's The Souffleur. The film stars Willem Dafoe as Lucius, the manager of a revered Viennese hotel. When the hotel is purchased by a property developer who plans to demolish the building, Lucius's life spirals as he attempts to scupper the new owner's plans.
Solnicki also stars alongside Lilly Lindner, Stephanie Argerich and Claus Philipp.
The Souffleur receives its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on August 31st.

The official synopsis reads:
Lucius Glantz is the longtime manager of Vienna’s iconic InterContinental Hotel, whose life spirals into absurd paranoia when he learns the property is being sold to an Argentine developer with plans to demolish it. As Lucius wages a quiet but obsessive vendetta against the new owner, his unraveling begins to infect the world around him—the hotel’s pipes clog, clocks spin out of sync, and his once-perfect soufflés mysteriously refuse to rise.
