Directed by Geno Marx and co-written by Kent Rodricks, Babybacks follows a young Mexican couple who cross the border while fleeing from a murderous cartel. In the US they are given refuge by an elderly couple, but it turns out a new form of terror is waiting for them.
The film stars Viridiana Marquez, Ryan Rathbun, Ray Acevedo, Alfred Gonzales, Melissa Chambers, Juliana Philippi, AB Phoenix, Peter Lucas and J Diego Gonçalves.

The official synopsis reads:
On the run from ruthless cartel hitmen, young lovers Zoe and Mateo cross the scorching Sonoran Desert in search of a new life in America. Exhausted, vulnerable and running out of options, their situation becomes desperate when Mateo is badly injured. Then, seemingly, salvation arrives.A generous older couple offers them shelter and the refuge they desperately need. But behind the doors of their isolated home, something is terribly wrong. What begins as an act of kindness slowly reveals itself as a terrifying trap — and Zoe and Mateo soon discover that escaping the desert may have only delivered them into an even more dangerous nightmare.
