The official synopsis reads:
Eugênio, (Paulo Miklos) the author of once-popular Western novels, has fallen on hard times. When sales of his books go from bad to worse, his publisher – with its new backers -- pressures him to ghostwrite a political biography…or else. Instead, he accepts an offer to work on a screenplay in complete isolation for three months. But while holed up inside a luxury hotel, he begins to see visions of his most famous creation, the gunslinger “Jesus Kid” (Sergio Marone) in this delightfully dark satirical fantasy from writer/director Aly Murtiba, whose Deserto Particular was Brazil's official entry for the 2022 Best International Film Oscar.
