During WWII, American woman Mildred Gillars was dubbed "Axis Sally" for the Nazi
propaganda she broadcasted to American troops.
Director Michael Polish's
American Traitor: The Trial of Axis Sally tells the story of
Gillars (Meadow Williams) and the lawyer (Al Pacino) who
attempted to redeem her in America's eyes.
The film also stars Mitch Pileggi, Thomas Kretschmann and Lala Kent.
American Traitor: The Trial of Axis Sally is in US cinemas
and on VOD from May 28th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.
