Directed by Anita Doron (The Breadwinner) and written by Tamara Faith Berger, Maya & Samar stars Nicolette Pearse as Maya, a Canadian journalist who embarks on a torrid affair in Athens with Samar (Amanda Babaei Vieira), an Afghan refugee who escaped the Taliban and now survives by dancing in a club in the Greek capital.
Brenna Coates, Antonis Giannakos, Aris Athanasopoulos and Agni Scott also star.
Maya & Samar is on US VOD from September 4th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
