First look at the upcoming sequel to the 2017 shark thriller.
With 2017's 47 Metres Down, director Johannes Roberts constructed a surprisingly effective shark thriller. Audiences responded, making the film a hit, and so Roberts returns to helm 47 Metres Down: Uncaged, having directed sequel The Strangers: Prey at Night in the meantime.
In the sequel, a group of friends find themselves trapped in a system of underwater caves and forced to evade the attention of hungry sharks. Brec Bassinger, John Corbett, Nia Long and Sophie Nelisse star.
47 Metres Down: Uncaged is in US cinemas August but we're still awaiting news of a UK/ROI release.

The official synopsis reads:
The film will tell the story of four teens diving in a ruined underwater city, who quickly find themselves in a watery hell as their adventure turns to horror when they learn they are not alone in the submerged caves. As they swim deeper into the claustrophobic labyrinth of caves they enter the territory of the deadliest shark species in the ocean.
