Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi collected the Best Director award at this year's Cannes Film Festival for La bola negra. Inspired by the unfinished final work of Federico García Lorca and the acclaimed play by Alberto Conejero, the film plays across the years 1932, 1937 and 2017 and explores the interconnected lives of three gay men.
The cast features Guitarricadelafuente, Miguel Bernardeau, Carlos González, Milo Quifes, Lola Dueñas, Penélope Cruz and Glenn Close.
La bola negra is in UK/ROI cinemas from November 6th.

The official synopsis reads:
LA BOLA NEGRA tells the story of three men whose lives are intimately connected through desire, pain and inheritance, across three different eras – 1932, 1937 and 2017. Rich with Lorca's poetry and suffused with desire, grief and hope, it is an intimate love story and a sweeping exploration of memory, inheritance and queer history, honouring those whose lives and loves were too often forced into silence.
