Netflix have unveiled the first trailer for Mike Flanagan's Shirley Jackson adaptation.
Previously adapted for the big screen by director Robert Wise as his horror classic The Haunting (let's not mention the '90s remake), Shirley Jackson's novel The Haunting of Hill House now gets a 10 episode Netflix series with director Mike Flanagan (Hush; Oculus) helming all 10 instalments.
Flanagan reunites with his Gerald's Game star Carla Gugino, who headlines a cast that also includes Michiel Huisman, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel and Victoria Pedretti.
The Haunting of Hill House will be available to view on Netflix from October 12th.

The official synopsis reads:
A modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson's iconic novel, The Haunting of Hill House explores a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country. Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past -- some of which still lurk in their minds while others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House.
