Director Ti West's 1970s set thriller
X
saw Mia Goth play the dual roles of young porn star Maxine and the
elderly antagonist Pearl. Goth returns to the latter role for West's
prequel Pearl, which explores the character's youthful escapades in rural Texas.
Along with Goth, who co-wrote the movie with West,
Pearl stars David Corenswet, Tandi Wright, Matthew Sunderland and
Emma Jenkins-Purro.
Following its premiere at the Venice Film Festival,
Pearl will open in US cinemas on September 16th. A UK/ROI
release has yet to be announced.
