Inspired by a real case, director Mitch McLeod's Marrow stars Jessica Dawn Willis (who co-wrote with McLeod and novelist Preston Fassel) as Jamie Foster, a washed-up influencer who decides to boost her flagging career by inviting her serial killer stalker onto the show. While her ratings ascend, Jessica finds herself in increasing danger.
The film also stars Michael Ironside, Danielle Harris, Matthew Tompkins, Ashley Spicer, Phil Harrison, Abby Joy, Rrian Rhonda, Kristin Payne and Vanessa Sun.
"Marrow is based on true events surrounding a stalking that occurred many years ago to somebody who meant a great deal to me," says McLeod. "The idea has been in my head for a while, so getting to sit down with star and co-writer Jessica Dawn Willis and get the ideas on paper and bring it to life on screen has been a truly rewarding experience. I'm looking forward to finally being able to release this horrifying story to the world, and I hope it resonates with them the same way the original story did with me."
Marrow is on US VOD from November 3rd. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.
