The body swap premise has fuelled many a comedy but director Arthur Harari gives it a horrific twist with The Unknown, adapted from a graphic novel the director wrote with his brother Lucas Harari. The film is centred on Léa Seydoux and Niels Schneider, who play two victims of an entity that forces those who have sex to swap bodies with their partner.
The film also stars Valérie Dreville, Shanti Masud, Radu Jude, Jonathan Turnbull, Lilith Grasmug and Victoire Du Bois.
The Unknown is in French cinemas from August 26th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
David Zimmerman, almost 40, is a photographer but no one knows it. When friends drag him to a wild party, he spots a woman in the crowd and can’t take his eyes off her, he follows her… A few hours later, David wakes up: he’s in the body of the unknown woman.
