Directed by Minos Papas and co-written with Evripidis Dikaios and Nikolas Kouroumtzis, Motherwitch takes us back to 1882 Cyprus. There we find Eleni (Margarita Zachariou), a grieving woman who turns to magic in an attempt to resurrect her dead children. In doing so she summons the Kalikantzari, a malevolent creature that places a curse on her village.
Motherwitch is currently playing the festival circuit with a screening at Fantasia next up on July 30th.

The official synopsis reads:
Eleni, a scorned painter in Cyprus in 1882, attempts to resurrect her dead children, but instead awakens the Kalikantzari creatures of Cypriot folklore. Now she must find a way to overcome her grief and anger and dispel the curse that has befallen her village.
