
Based on the book by Daniel Kraus, Whalefall is a survival thriller of biblical proportions. Austin Abrams plays a young man who goes diving off the California coast in search of the the remains of his father (Josh Brolin), only to find himself swallowed alive by a sperm whale.
The film is directed by Brian Duffield (Spontaneous; No One Will Save You) and co-written with Kraus. Elisabeth Shue, John Ortiz, Jane Levy and Emily Rudd also star.
Whalefall is in UK/ROI cinemas from October 18th.

The official synopsis reads:
Following the death of his father (Josh Brolin), Jay Gardiner (Austin Abrams) goes diving off the central Coast of California in search of his remains, but is swallowed by a massive sperm whale. While trapped inside its belly with only one hour of oxygen left, Jay comes to realize that the hard-earned lessons his father imparted may be the key to his escape.
