Writer/director Mickey Keating (Carnage Park; Offseason) is known for a series of films that play like love letters to his favourite genres. Crooks sees Keating pay tribute to classic Film Noir with a pulpy tale of a vampy nightclub singer who goes on the run with a suitcase full of money, pursued by a deadly hitman who wants the cash for himself.
The film stars Angela Trimbur, Chase Williamson, Melora Walters and Keith Kupferer.
Crooks receives its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 7th.
