New Trailer for Video Game Adaptation THE MORTUARY ASSISTANT

The adaptation of the cult video game comes to Shudder this month.

After decades of flops, video game adaptations are finally proving popular with movie fans. Next up is director Jeremiah Kipp's (Slapface) take on the cult horror game The Mortuary Assistant. Written by Tracee Beebe and game creator Brian Clarke, the film stars Willa Holland as a mortician who experiences a terrifying night shift as a demonic entity sets its sights on possessing her.


The Mortuary Assistant is on Shudder from March 27th.

The official synopsis reads:

Newly certified mortician Rebecca Owens (Willa Holland, Arrow) accepts a night shift at a mortuary, embalming bodies alone after hours. As disturbing events escalate, Rebecca uncovers demonic rituals, the dark secrets of her enigmatic mentor (Paul Sparks, Boardwalk Empire), and her own buried trauma—racing to survive the night before her body becomes a vessel for possession.
