1978's Faces of Death was an infamous compilation of footage purporting to depict real life deaths on screen. Of course, most of the footage was crudely staged. Director Daniel Goldhaber (Cam, How to Blow Up a Pipeline) and co-writer Isa Mazzei's Faces of Death is a meta-remake starring Barbie Ferreira as an online content moderator who comes across a group re-enacting the footage from the 1978 film. She becomes obsessed with determining if this new footage is real or not.
The film also stars Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah, Aaron Holliday, Jermaine Fowler and Charli XCX.
Faces of Death is in US cinemas from April 10th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.
