Directed by Bart Schrijver (Human Nature, Memories Of You), The North stars Bart Harder and Carles Pulido as Chris and Lluis, old friends who meet up for the first time in a decade to hike through the Scottish Highlands. Alone in a quiet landscape, the two men are forced to confront hidden truths about themselves and their friendship.
"While making the film, we really hiked 300 kilometres through the mountains, we camped, we slept in our tents, and in that way we experienced the Scottish outdoors," says Schrijver. "The best way to experience the outdoors, of course, is to be out there, but I hope we can give you that experience in the cinema as well."
The North is in UK cinemas from April 24th.
