Playwright Aleshea Harris turns writer/director with a screen adaptation of her play Is God Is.
The film stars Kara Young and Mallori Johnson as two twin sisters left physically and emotionally scarred by their long absent father (Sterling K. Brown). When their mother (Viveca A. Fox) orders them to kill the old man, the twins must choose between revenge and mercy.
The cast also includes Janelle Monáe, Erika Alexander, Mykelti Williamson and Josiah Cross.
Is God Is is in US cinemas from May 15th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.
