After conquering the pop music world, Charli XCX seems set on a second career in the movies. We recently saw her in 100 Nights of Hero and she's about to play a fictional version of herself in the meta-comedy The Moment. Charli has also collaborated with director Pete Ohs (Jethica) as star and co-writer of Erupjca.
The film sees Charli play Bethany, who finds herself stranded in Warsaw with her boyfriend Rob (Will Madden). Bethany takes the opportunity to explore herself in a foreign city while reuniting with a childhood friend (co-writer Lena Góra).
Erupcja is in US cinemas from April 17th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
Set in Poland, ERUPCJA follows two women as they complicate their romantic lives. Nel lives in Warsaw where she works at a flower shop. When her childhood friend Bethany comes to visit with a new boyfriend, a volcano erupts.
