Not screened in over four decades, Palmer Rockey's infamous trash classic Scarlet Warning 666 has been given the 4K restoration treatment with the director's final cut edited by Bob Murawski. Considered by some as the worst movie ever made, the film features Rockey in seven onscreen roles while performing no less than 47 behind the camera roles.
Originally released in 1974, Rockey's insane tale of twin brothers (both played by Rockey) encountering Satanic skullduggery on a country estate was laughed off the screen at its premiere. In the years since it has developed a cult following, as has its soundtrack album.
Grindhouse Releasing are bringing Scarlet Warning 666 back to cinemas with a world premiere of the restoration at Dallas's Texas Theatre on January 20th. A bluray release, featuring two discs and the soundtrack on CD, will follow at a later date.
