
Charliebird, the feature debut of director Libby Ewing, scooped the Founders Award for best US narrative feature at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. Written by Samantha Smart, the film also sees Smart play the lead role of Al, a music therapist who develops a friendship with a young patient (Gabriela Ochoa Perez) and learns to confront her past in the process.
Charliebird is in US cinemas February 2026. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.
