Director Pedro Almodóvar's upcoming comedic drama Bitter Christmas stars Bárbara Lennie as Elsa, an advertising director who uses her work to distract from the grief felt by her mother's death. Forced to take a break from work when she suffers a panic attack, Elsa travels to Lanzarote.
The film also stars Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Milena Smit, Carmen Machi, Rossy de Palma and Leonardo Sbaraglia.
Bitter Christmas is in Spanish cinemas from March 20th, 2026. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.
