Co-directors Jeffrey Lam Sen and Antonio Tam explore a crisis of faith and morality in their crime drama Valley of the Shadow of Death. The film stars Anthony Wong as Pastor Leung, a man of the cloth whose faith is tested when the young man (George Au) who provoked his daughter's suicide returns to his community and his church.
Louisa So, Sheena Chan, Isabel Chan and Summer Chan also star.
"We chose a pastor as the protagonist to explore the extremes of human conflict and faith," say the directors. "This is a story about belief, forgiveness, and revenge — and a reflection of the contradictions that define contemporary Hong Kong."
Valley of the Shadow of Death is in UK cinemas from November 14th.
