Actress Kaniehtiio Horn makes her feature debut as writer/director of
Seeds. The film sees Horn play Ziggy, an indigenous influencer who begins
promoting a seed company. When she is asked to housesit her family home on
the reservation, Ziggy finds herself battling someone or something intent
on stealing her family's crops.
The cast also includes
Graham Greene, Patrick Garrow, Peter Keleghan, Dallas Goldtooth,
Meegwun Fairbrother, Morgan Bedard, Josh Bainbridge, Dylan Cook, Cherish
Violet Blood
and Bonnie Whitley.
Seeds is in Canadian cinemas from October 25th. A UK/ROI
release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
Ziggy is offered her first gig as an online influencer, promoting for Nature’s Oath, a seed and fertilizer company. When her cousin summons her back to the rez, she is forced into a battle to save her people’s legacy, finding her power along the way.
