Historical Epic THE CONVERT Gets a UK/ROI Release [Trailer/Poster]

The Kiwi epic comes to UK/ROI VOD in October.

Set in the 1830s, director Lee Tamahori's The Convert stars Guy Pearce as a preacher who arrives at a British settlement in New Zealand. When he finds himself caught up in a war between two rival Māori tribes, the preacher's violent past threatens to return.

Co-written by Shane Danielson, the film also stars Tioreore Ngatai-Melbourne, Antonio Te Maioha, Jacqueline McKenzie and Lawrence Makoare.

The Convert is on UK/ROI VOD from October 14th.

The official synopsis reads:

When a lay preacher (Guy Pearce) arrives at a British settlement in 1830s New Zealand, his violent past is drawn into question and his faith put to the test as he finds himself caught in the middle of a bloody war between Māori tribes.
