First Trailer for Sleep Study Thriller SOMNIUM
First look at director Racheal Cain's thriller.

In a similar vein to Anthony Scott Burns' Come True, writer/director Racheal Cain's Somnium is a dark thriller centred on a sleep study. Chloë Levine plays Gemma, a young wannabe actress who heads to Hollywood in the hopes of becoming a star. When she takes a job at a mysterious sleep study clinic, her life begins to take a series of nightmarish turns.

The film also stars Will Peltz, Peter Vack, Johnathon Schaech, Clarissa Thibeaux and Grace Van Dien.

Somnium will receive its world premiere at the 2024 Chattanooga Film Festival on June 22nd.

The official synopsis reads:

After a painful breakup, small-town Gemma moves to Los Angeles with the hopes of making it big. To get on her feet, she takes a job working the overnight shift at Somnium - a mysterious, experimental sleep clinic where dreams are made real.
 
Meanwhile, Gemma throws herself into the cutthroat world of Hollywood auditions. But as the pressure to succeed mounts, she begins to experience strange and unsettling phenomena, and soon finds herself trapped in a nightmarish spiral as she discovers a darkness lurking within the clinic walls.
