Written and directed by Patrick Dickinson,
Cottontail stars Lily Franky as Kenzaburo, a Japanese
widower who travels to England with his son Toshi (Ryo Nishikido) to scatter his Beatrix Potter obsessed late wife's
ashes. The trip is rendered fraught by the father and son's difficult
relationship.
The film also stars Tae Kimura, Rin Takanashi, Ciarán Hinds and Aoife Hinds.
Cottontail is in US cinemas from June 7th and VOD from July
9th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
After the death of his wife, Kenzaburo receives an unexpected letter from beyond the grave. His late wife asks him to travel to Lake Windermere in England with their son to scatter her ashes. Plagued by sweet and painful memories of his wife, Kenzaburo travels to England from Tokyo to fulfill her final wish, but the father and son’s fraught relationship threatens to upend their journey.
