Inspired by the vampire stories of Sheridan Le Fanu, Carl Dreyer's first sound
movie, 1932's Vampyr would become one of the key horror
movies of the early sound era. The movie follows a student as he is drawn
into a supernatural mystery in a small French village.
Restored in 2K by by the Danish Film Institute for its 90th anniversary,
Vampyr returns to UK/ROI cinemas on May 20th, followed by a
blu-ray release on May 30th courtesy of Eureka Entertainment.
