Still flying ahead on digital downloads only, the James Corden and
Rose Byrne-led sequel continues to hold as the UK’s biggest film,
beating competition from the 2013 animated adventure
The Croods (2), which has enjoyed a recent resurgence thanks
to the release of its own sequel in cinemas.
The original Space Jam holds at Number 3 for a third
consecutive week, as Zack Snyder’s
Justice League jumps four places to Number 4, and double
film boxset Peter Rabbit 1 & 2 drops to Number 5. The
animated and real world collide in
Tom & Jerry: The Movie which chases its way back up four
places to 6.
Godzilla vs. Kong
drops to Number 7 and Mortal Kombat sinks to Number 8.
Birds of Prey
flies 13 spots to Number 9, returning to the Top 10 for the first time
since March thanks to the release of
the recent Suicide Squad sequel, and
Promising Young Woman
rounds off the countdown at Number 10.
The highest brand-new entry on the Official Film Chart comes from British
thriller Six Minutes To Midnight at Number 15. Written by
Eddie Izzard and Celyn Jones, and written and directed by
Andy Goddard, the WWII-set drama includes Izzard,
Judi Dench and Nigel Lindsay among its cast.
