Edward D Wood Jr is best known for his 1950s b-movies like Glen or Glenda and Plan 9 from Outer Space, the latter regularly topping polls of the worst movies ever made. Towards the end of his career Wood found himself working in the sexploitation genre. One such movie, Take it Out in Trade, was considered lost for decades until Something Weird Video presented a surprise 2K restoration of the film at the 2017 edition of Fantastic Fest. Subsequently the movie has been released on US blu-ray by the American Genre Film Archive (AGFA), and is now streaming on the Arrow Video Channel as part of the AGFA Collection.
The film follows a couple who hire a private detective to locate their missing daughter, who is employed at a brothel. Wood makes an appearance in drag.
