The Danish drama comes to UK screens this October.
When she was 11-years-old, writer/director Malou Reymann's father underwent a male to female transition. With her debut feature, co-written with Maren Louise Käehne and Rune Schjøtt, A Perfectly Normal Family, Reymann draws on her experiences of the initial shock and ultimate acceptance of her father's decision. The film stars Schjøtt as 11-year-old Emma, who struggles to accept her father's (Mikkel Boe Følsgaard) new identity.
A Perfectly Normal Family is in UK cinemas and on VOD from October 2nd.

The official synopsis reads:
Eleven year old Emma has a perfectly normal family until one day it turns out her dad, Thomas, is transgender. As Thomas becomes Agnete, both father and daughter struggle to hold on to what they had, while accepting that everything has changed.
