First look at Affleck's post-apocalyptic drama.
Almost a decade after making his debut as writer-director with the 2010 mockumentary I'm Still Here, Casey Affleck is back behind and in front of the camera with Light of My Life.
The movie stars Affleck and Anna Pniowsky as a father and daughter negotiating a post-apocalyptic environment in the aftermath of an event that has seemingly wiped out the rest of the world's female population. Elisabeth Moss, Tom Bower and Hrothgar Mathews also star.
Light of My Life is in US cinemas August 9th but we're still awaiting news of a UK/ROI release.
Check out the trailer below.
The official synopsis reads:
Parent and child journey through the outskirts of society a decade after a pandemic has wiped out half the world’s population. As a father struggles to protect his child, their bond, and the character of humanity, is tested.
