New trailer and poster for the Child's Play remake.
In the decades between Return of the Jedi and his recent return to the Star Wars universe, Mark Hamill established himself as one of the foremost talents in the voiceover world, with many considering his rendition of The Joker in the animated Batman series the finest version of that cult villain.
With Brad Dourif remaining loyal to original creator Don Mancini's Child's Play universe, a voice talent was needed for the upcoming reboot, so who better to voice killer doll Chucky than Hamill?
The latest Child's Play trailer gives us a brief snatch of Hamill's voice work in the Lars Klevberg directed film, which is essentially a remake of the 1988 original, with child actor Gabriel Bateman in the role of the terrorised Andy and Aubrey Plaza as his mother. Check it out below.
Child's Play is in US cinemas June 21st, but we're still awaiting news of a UK/ROI release.
The official synopsis reads:
A contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic, Child’s Play follows Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature.
