A new featurette looks at how Todd Haynes recreated the New York of the past.
Todd Haynes' latest nostalgic drama, Wonderstruck, follows the exploits of two deaf children (played by Millicent Simmonds and Oakes Fegley) as they explore the New York of 1927 and 1977.
The movie features some of the most impressive period recreation ever put to film, and a new featurette goes behind the scenes to highlight just how this was achieved by Haynes and his crew.
Wonderstruck is in UK/ROI cinemas April 6th.
The official synopsis reads:
Two children, living in eras 50 years apart, set off for the bright lights of New York City to seek their true selves. Switching from black and white to colour, at times a silent film, this is a fantastical ode to the stories that make us.
