It's a good time to be a De Palma fan, with not one, but two new docs on the way.
First up there's De Palma. Noah Baumbach wouldn't be the first modern filmmaker you might associate with De Palma, but he's responsible for what should be a fascinating watch - a two hour documentary consisting solely of De Palma discussing his work.
This one hits US cinemas June 10th, but Studiocanal have yet to announce a UK/ROI release date.
If that leaves you hungry for more, here's the first trailer for a work in progress doc focussing on De Palma's working relationship with composer Pino Donaggio. The doc's director, Elio Lucantonio, tells us he's headed off to the US now to film more interviews, having interviewed a host of European composers. When complete, the documentary will premiere on French TV channel OCS. We'll keep you updated on how this one progresses and how you can eventually see it.
