New Trailer and Artwork for BROTHERS IN ARMS: THE MAKING OF PLATOON

Brothers in Arms: The Making of Platoon
A new documentary tells the behind the scenes story of Oliver Stone's war movie.

As difficult as it is to believe now, there was a time when politically charged films connected with large audiences. Nobody benefitted more from this period than Oliver Stone, whose 1986 film Platoon was the first mainstream American movie to criticise America's doomed intervention in Vietnam.

A new documentary, Brothers in Arms: The Making of Platoon, is narrated by the film's star Charlie Sheen, and gathers many of its key players, including Johnny Depp, Willem Dafoe, Kevin Dillon, Tom Berenger, Keith David, Tony Todd and John C. McGinley, to tell the story of how Stone brought his film to the screen.

Brothers in Arms: The Making of Platoon is on UK DVD and Digital from October 5th and can be pre-booked at Amazon.

Check out the trailer and artwork below.

The official synopsis reads:

Oliver Stone’s Platoon is widely regarded as one of the best war films ever made and changed the face of cinema forever through its raw, honest and deeply moving portrayal of young American soldiers serving during the Vietnam war.

Now, Brothers in Arms: The Making of Platoon is the feature-length story of how this iconic, four-time Oscar winning film came to be, featuring new interviews with the actors who would go on to become major stars.

Narrated by Charlie Sheen (Anger Management, Wall Street), the cast and crew share stories making this non-union, low budget, independent film. They share memories of the gruelling boot camp, Stone's unique directing style, the harsh filming conditions that forged their eternal brotherhood, and the lasting legacy of this cinematic masterpiece.
