First look at Audiard's English language debut.
Acclaimed French filmmaker Jacques Audiard (A Prophet; Rust and Bone; Dheepan) heads to the Old West for his English language debut, an adaptation of Patrick DeWitt's novel The Sisters Brothers, and he's assembled an all-star cast. Along with Joaquin Phoenix and John C. Reilly as the titular gunslinging siblings, the film also stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Riz Ahmed, Rutger Hauer and Carol Kane.
The Sisters Brothers doesn't have a UK/ROI release date yet, but it's due in US cinemas later this year. Check out the first trailer below and let us know what you think of it.
The official synopsis reads:
Based on Patrick Dewitt's acclaimed novel of the same name, follows two brothers - Eli and Charlie Sisters - who are hired to kill a prospector who has stolen from their boss. The story, a genre-hybrid with comedic elements, takes place in Oregon in 1851.
