The official synopsis reads:
Every night, a mysterious woman in immaculate clothes takes the same corner seat in a grimy café in São Paulo's crack-ravaged downtown. She orders a coffee she never drinks and simply watches. Marcos (Gabriel Stauffer), a downtrodden waiter who's always late and always in trouble with his sadistic boss (Marat Descartes), can't take his eyes off her. When Helena (Thais Lago) seems to land in danger one night, Marcos rushes to her rescue, only to discover she never needed saving. She is a centuries-old vampire, on the run from a rival clan of immortals who want her dead. Drawn into a glamorous, blood-soaked underworld hidden in plain sight, Marcos finds himself caught in a war between vampires, and in a romance that may cost him his life.
