Finnish director Hanna Bergholm follows her acclaimed debut Hatching with her English language debut, Nightborn. The film stars Seidi Haarla and Rupert Grint as Saga and Jon, a couple who move to a new home in the Finnish woods to raise their expected son. But the arrival of the infant brings a new darkness as Saga becomes convinced there is something wrong with her son.
Co-written with Ilja Rautsi, the film also stars Pamela Tola, Pirkko Saisio, Rebecca Lacey and John Thomson.
Nightborn is on Shudder from July 31st.

With dreams of starting a perfect family, Saga and her British husband Jon move to the isolated house where she spent much of her childhood, deep in the Finnish forest. As their marriage starts to crack, Jon struggles to support his wife, but only Saga suspects the disturbing truth about her new-born.
