
Written and directed by Joseph Scrimshaw, Dead Media taps into the current frustrations around the lack of choice available to movie fans on streaming services compared to the heyday of physical media. After failing to find a cult '90s horror movie named "The Lurcher" online, three friends come across a copy on DVD. But playing the disc unleashes real world horrors.
The film stars Sammi-Jack Martinack, Sam Landman, James Urbaniak, Jessica Fenton and Anna Sundberg.
Dead Media is in US cinemas from July 16th and VOD from July 28th. A UK/ROI release has yet to be announced.

The official synopsis reads:
Dead Media follows the tale of a troubled young woman named Maggie who tries to enjoy movie night with her two best friends. After countless minutes of scrolling through titles, they try to stream a long lost '90s horror cult-classic, The Lurcher. Before they get far, Maggie's lonely super-fan uncle drops by with a DVD for the gang to experience the film in all of it's bloody, load bonus content glory. Once they dig into the analog feature, they find out the disc is haunted as the horrors of the film start to materialize in their own living room. Dead Media is an exciting homage to great horror, cult classics, and the bygone era of DVD bonus features.
