New Trailer for Family Drama BLUE HERON
Director Sophy Romvari's feature debut comes to UK/ROI cinemas this month.

Having garnered much acclaim for her shorts, writer/director Sophy Romvari makes her feature debut with the semi-autobiographical Blue Heron. The film details a Hungarian immigrant family to Canada's experiences of raising the troubled Jeremy (Edik Beddoes), with the meta layer of Jeremy's now grown-up sister Sasha (Amy Zimmer) making the very film unspooling before us as she reckons with her childhood memories.

Blue Heron is in UK/ROI cinemas from June 26th.

The official synopsis reads:

Set on Vancouver Island in the late 1990s, BLUE HERON follows eight-year-old Sasha and her Hungarian immigrant family as they attempt to build a new life, only to be destabilised by the increasingly dangerous behaviour of her older brother, Jeremy. Drawing on her own memories, filmmaker Sophy Romvari shapes a deeply personal portrait of childhood, family fractures, and the fragility of recollection.
