Hugo Ruiz made a splash with his directorial debut One night with Adela, one of the most shocking movies of recent years and part of a recent wave of extreme cinema emerging from Spain. As with his debut, Ruiz's second feature Dante is centred on a paramedic enduring a chaotic night. Chino Darin plays Eduardo, who responds to a medical emergency at the home of an infamous gangster. The night subsequently turns into a battle for survival for Eduardo.
The film also stars Ester Expósito, Vicente Romero, Enrique Arce and Asier Etxeandia.
Dante receives its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 7th.

The official synopsis reads:
Eduardo, a kind-hearted emergency medical technician working the night shift in an ambulance, responds to an emergency call. A man named Mario, connected to the city’s criminal underworld, is in critical condition at his home. When Eduardo arrives, Mario is close to death — but before dying, he leaves him trapped in a situation where, with every passing second, Eduardo’s chances of surviving the night grow slimmer by the second.
