HIGHLANDER Returns to Cinemas - New Trailer and Poster
The '80s fantasy returns to cinemas in a new restoration.

Russell Mulcahy's 1986 fantasy romp Highlander made a global star of Christopher Lambert in the role of the immortal Connor MacLeod. A centuries old Scottish highlander, MacLeod rocked up to '80s New York to finally take down his (im)mortal enemy The Kurgan (Clancy Brown). The film also revitalised the career of Sean Connery, who played Connor's Egyptian mentor, Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez (yes, Scotland's most famous actor played an Egyptian in a movie titled Highlander).

Highlander returns to UK/ROI cinemas from May 4th, followed by a new collector's edition 4K UHD and bluray on June 29th.

Check out the new trailer and poster below.

The official synopsis reads:

After inexplicably surviving a mortal wound during a clan battle in the Scottish Highlands in 1536, Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) is accused of witchcraft and banished from his village. Years later, he meets Ramirez (Sean Connery), a swordsman who teaches MacLeod the truth about himself: he belongs to an immortal race who can only die when the head is cut from the body.

MacLeod fights his way through the centuries until the time of The Gathering, when the few immortals who have survived the ages will come together to fight until just one remains. In 1980s New York City the final fight is about to begin and, in the end, there can be only one...
